Four Leaders of Color Win during November Election

November 6, 2024

We are thrilled to announce that four Leaders of Color Alumni have won their campaigns for public office during yesterday’s election! Please join us in congratulating ‍‍Mario Enriquez (Stockton City Council), T. Michelle Colson (DC State Board of Education), LaJoy Johnson-Law (DC State Board of Education), and Natasha Dupee (ANC).

We are also excited to announce that Anthony Kenney, Leaders of Color Louisiana, advanced to a runoff election in his campaign for East Baton Rouge Metro Council.

In addition to providing candidate training and support, our fellowship also trains fellows to assist in leading political campaigns. We are proud that several program alumni played vital roles in these campaigns.

Join us in congratulating our Leaders of Color Alum on this victory.  We are excited to have supported these fellows and cannot wait to have each of them officially impact education in their seats!

During the 2024 election cycle, Leaders of Color supported 14 fellows running for public office, 8 during this November 2024 cycle! All Leaders of Color candidates are education champions and community leaders who are working to bring their expertise and passion to elected office.

Meet our alum who won their seat yesterday!:
