Test scores help us understand student achievement and gaps. Test scores ALSO say a lot about us, our society, and what we value. The 2022 NAEP test results show us that we have a lot to do.

In 2022, the Leaders of Color program proudly graduated our largest class of Black and Hispanic community and political leaders in Louisiana, Memphis, New York, and Washington D.C.! We are proud that since 2018, nearly 200 Black and Hispanic graduates of our program have taken their innate community leadership skills to the next level.

It's that time again! We are opening the application for our free leadership and political training program! 

People of color represent about 40 percent of the population and 50 percent of students. While the Latino and Asian-American teacher workforce is growing, the share of Native American and Black teachers in the workforce is actually in decline. We need to help more educators of color stay in the classroom.
