Benjamin Branch has over 18 years of legislative, political and public policy expertise. He is the former Executive Director of the Congressional Black Caucus PAC where he was responsible for developing and implementing the CBCPAC’s fundraising strategy and outreach while overseeing daily operations. He was also responsible for coordinating with the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) and Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee (DSCC) on strategic voter outreach programs in addition to candidate recruitment and support with the Congressional Black Caucus.
He previously served as Legislative Director/Senior Policy Advisor for Congressman Gregory Meeks from New York. In this role, he served as the principle advisor on legislative and policy initiatives for the Congressman and supervised the office’s legislative staff. He was responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of issues including telecommunications, transportation, appropriations and energy. He was also responsible for administering and coordinating fundraising activities for the Congressman’s campaign committee and Build America PAC.
Previously, he held positions as Manager of Government Affairs at the Telecommunications Industry Association and as Deputy Legislative Director for former Congressman and CBC PAC Chairman Albert Wynn from Maryland. A native Virginian, he graduated from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, VA with a degree in Political Science and began his career in politics working for former U.S. Senator Charles Robb from VA.
